Reiki & Yoga Class:
Slow down the pace of life and tune in to the flow of energy that connects body, mind and spirit. This class will guide you through a gentle flow practice, incorporating some Yin Yoga postures held for extended periods of time with Reiki treatments to balance chakras and boost the natural cleansing process of the body.
The practice of Reiki and Yoga go hand in hand. Just be open to the flow of energy, release expectations and enjoy the relaxation!
About Reiki: Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that promotes healing and well-being. It was developed in the early 1900’s by Dr. Mikao Usui, and brought to us by a lineage of selected masters. Its name derives from Rei: Spirit and Ki: Life Force.
Reiki is not a massage—the practitioner’s hands do not even have to be touching the recipient for the life force energy to flow from Reiki master to patient or recipient.
About Lauren: I’m a licensed Usui Reiki Master practitioner, passionate about helping clients tap into their inner wisdom to heal their physical and emotional issues on a deeper level. I am also a certified 200-hour yoga instructor from the Soul of Yoga in Encinitas, CA, my home for seven years. Though Reiki and yoga are very different, I have found that practicing them together can be a powerful tool for nourishing and healing the inner self.
In a full Reiki session the recipient lays in a quiet, comfortable position while the Reiki practitioner channels healing energy through specific hand positions and sacred symbols. Oftentimes there is no need to physically lay the hands on the client, as the energy does the work. The experience is very nurturing and relaxing and many times the recipient drifts into a dream sleep.
